today i had to sit through a long highway venture to the airport while the oh-so-needed driver decides he wants to tell me about myself. he, my brother’s childhood friend, had been in my presence for less than 15 minutes -says he- and already he can tell my character. and so i got to thinking about my character, myself… as his assumptions fell on deaf ears. i started to think of who i IS and who i AINT!
so since i decided to start a blog page right [friggin] now, i’ll answer that here.
i is….
- confident, altho often mistaken for conceited
- i aint arrogant
i is….
- compassionate, loving, and endearing
- i aint a push-over
i is…
- a christian woman, growing closer to God, and embracing the gifts bestowed upon me and the responsibilities that accompany them
- i aint a saint! …um, yet.
i is….
- not easily categorized, infrequently understood
- i aint keeping people from knowing the true me
i is….
- a lover. i love well. i LOVE God. and i LOVE myself!
- i aint denying it.
i is….
- a mom who, with her dislike of bad grammar but tendacy to parttake in the act of said dislike, corrects her 6 year old constantly and annoyingly, i’m sure
- i aint stop cursing yet, but i’m trying!
so thats me, or the gist… the part i want to share at 4am, after a long business trip and being read my rights by a bitter old friend who thinks i think i’m all that and a bag’a blogs!
more to come…. powerful mores, i can just smell it in the stale of ventilated forced-air! so come back nah, ya hear!
